Abstract

Water will be a source of problems in the mining area, if not handled properly, this research is to study a technical draining the mine at one of the pit, the method used is Mine dewatering system aims remove the water that went into the pit and precipate particle before flowed into the river. the field observations seen a wide catchment area and is located in Beijing with an area of about Pit 37,6Ha. Average rainfall maximum at the study site is 23.82 mm / day. Rainfall plan is taken over a two-year period amounted to 22.74 mm / day and the intensity of the largest rain 7.88 mm / hour. The amount of monthly maximum rainfall is 1286.00 mm per year in order to know the amount of water runoff that will go to the sump 483.56 m3 / month or 17.26 m3 / day with the provisions of 1 month equals 28 days. The ability of the pump based on the total pumping head 48.67 m, and the ability to pump corrections 0.15 m3 / sec. It takes four pumps with the same type of effective working time 8.5 hours / day. The flow of water will go into the ditch of 0.47 m3 / sec and trenches to be made must be able to drain the water, then made trapezoidal ditch. Based on the results of research concluded that it take 4 unit pump that work for 8,5 hours a day and Making the settling ponds into three zones for the neutralization of the water before it flowed into the river.
