Abstract

In many field applications, mining pumps have been channeled based on mining techniques without understanding the basics of mining pumps, such as the ability of the pump itself and the reading of the curve for each pump itself; the majority of the mining world is currently only concerned with the water coming out so that the lifetime of the pump itself becomes short and immeasurable. This research aims to know the design of calculating head loss on the pipe and fuel consumption of fuel in a pumping system with multi-flow MF 420EX to use the pump efficiently. In this research, a survey study was conducted at one of the open mining sites of the coal project to obtain pumping system data for analysis. The results of the research value got that the total head loss (HDPE) at the beginning of the project was 133.39m and the target at the end of the project was 162,75m. For the initial fuel consumption of 96.80 liters/hour and a mark of 118,79 liters/hour, this value can be used as a reference for accurate pumping calculations by the planned budget.
