Abstract

Fragmentation results of blasting is one of the factors to determine the success of a detonation. The aim of this study is to predict the outcome blasting fragmentation size. The method used is the method kuz-ram, to predict the size of the rock fragmentation, and data used are blasting geometry data, the data Geotek company that factor rocks, and documentation. From the results of research conducted, the average fragmentation has a size of approximately 71.22% smaller than 75 cm, because that becomes a baseline measure of fragmentation is 78 cm. stemming that is too long will cause the energy generated from the explosives are not spread evenly so that the size of fragmentation mostly oversized, burden and spacing also affects the size of fragmentation, if the burden of nine meters and a 10 meter spacing used on hard materials with explosives used slightly , then the power will be crushed to less material and causes fragmentation resulting into oversized
