Abstract

The open-pit mining techniques used by PT. Putra Perkasa (PPA) are strongly related to the traffic on the mine roads. The HD 785-7 route used for PT. PPA is a two-way transportation path. In order to determine the width of the haul route, which should be assessed in relation to the dimensions of the largest transport vehicle, the geometrical circumstances of this haul route were technically evaluated. Calculating and determining the unsuitable cross-fall; measuring and calculating the road's inclination that does not match the standard. Using methodologies such as field observation, measurement, and interviews, the inquiry was carried out on Highwall Street at PIT KGS (South Girimulya Kusan). It is required to analyze the haul routes because some roads' geometry does not comply with requirements, according to field observations that have been made. Haul roads with non-standard geometry must be at least two lines wide, hence there must be a spread of between 0.18 and 1.63 meters (straight roads) and 1.4 meters (bend roads). The section's inclination (grade) is too high on 8-9 and 9-10 segments, hence clearance is needed between 2.70% and 2.81%, which is the highest point in the segment. An unusual cross fall on 9–10, 10–11, and 11–12 segments, caused water to stagnate after the rain.
