ANALISIS GLYCOL PADA PROSES DEHYDRATION GAS STASIUN G-8 ASET TARAKAN PROVINSI KALIMANTAN UTARA

In its activities the gas collecting station using a separation system for separating fluids and gases, one with a dehydration unit (DHU). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that cause the occurrence of losses glycol. The method used in this study is to assess the technical condition of the tool dehydration, controlling the circulation rate and calculates the rate of circulation. DHU systems use chemical TEG (Triethylene glycol), which will continue to be added during the dehydration process. The amount of chemical use due to the incompatibility of the inlet wet gas with a flow rate in the glycol contactor so. In August 2016 a flow rate of 12 GPM glycol reached during the regeneration process takes place. While glycol successfully regenerated only require circulation rate of 2.28 GPM. This causes the frequent occurrence of losses at the time of contacting at contactor for circulation rate that were not the same as the exit. Glycol consumption reached 14.3 gallons per day, while the glycol successfully regenerated and will go back into the system of dehydration of 0.45 gallons. Of the result known there are errors in the field circulation rate which will result in lots of foam inside brubah glycol contactor, where the glycol by contacting the wet gas to separate the water content carried by gas from production wells.
