Abstract

Gorontalo City has a vulnerability of earthquakes, therefore understanding of earthquakes needs to be done early, especially for children with disabilities. The purpose of this article is to find out the level of potential earthquakes that occur in Gorontalo City,especially SDLB Gorontalo and surrounding areas and efforts to increase earthquake mitigation knowledge and the ability of students with disabilities in SDLB Gorontalo, especially the blind, deaf, and mental retardation. The method used consists of two methods namely interpretation of geological structures using SRTM imagery for delineation and fun learning methods with instruments used in the form of MINING (Music Fun Learning), MICARD (Mitigation Flashcard), MINAME (Mitigation of Nature Game) and MIGAS (Mitigation Praise). The sample is 34 students with disabilities in SDLB Gorontalo consisted of the blind, deaf and mentally retarded students. The result of delineation obtained is the geological structure in the form of alignment with a relatively north-south direction that is spread in the Gorontalo City area. There was an increase in earthquake knowledge and
earthquake mitigation ability after the application of fun learning methods, namely MIE TITI (Mitigation of Earthquake Disaster for Disability) for students with disabilities where blind children were 50% and 35%, deaf by 45% and 55%, and mental retardation were 3% and 2%.
