Abstract

Paludda is one of village in Barru Regency – South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It has potential for  landslides is generally on the roadside. This condition, endangers the road users and can  hamper the flow of traffic. The purpose of this study to determine the potential of landslides in  Paludda. To find out the potential, the resistivity method is used. This method can provide  information about subsurface rock layers. Layer heterogeneity is obtained from different  physical parameters of electrical conductivity between subsurface rocks. The results showed  that there were three layers of rock in the research location, namely claystone (bottom layer),  solid sandstone (middle layer) and top soil (top layer). The slip plane is predicted in the  claystone layer which has good permeability.
