PERHITUNGAN CADANGAN BATUBARA DENGAN METODE CIRCULAR USGS 1983 DI PT. PACIFIC PRIMA COAL SITE LAMIN KAB. BERAU PROVINSI KALIMATAN TIMUR

Abstract

According coal exploration result that have been conducted by PT. Pacific Prima Coal, in Labanan and Tumbit Malay Village, Bayur Bay District, Berau regency, Province East Kalimantan, this research intends to calculate the circular method of coal reserves with the USGS in 1983.The calculation begins by calculating coal resources in order to obtain the desired reserves, based on the shape layer that successfully recorded by the position of coal, coordinate points, elevation, layer thickness, and depth of each drilling on the prospect area. Results of the calculation are done using the proposed USGS 1983 circular method helping by MineScape 4,118 c software. So the overall
results obtained reserve calculations per block which meets the target PT. Pacific Prima Coal for overburden (OB) are 4,764,308,336 Tonnes, whereas coal reserves with an area of 9.259.100.76 Tonnes 29.8 Ha area and the value of stripping ratio of 5.1: 1, while the total number of reserve calculation results per block which does not meet the target PT. Pacific Prima Coal for overbarden (OB) are 13.950.640.19 Tonnes, amounting to 1,525,605,487 tonnes of coal reserves with an area of 92.76 ha area and the value of stripping ratio of 9.1: 1. The overall stripping ratio targets to be achieved for the northern block is 6: 1
