Mine drainage is an effort that is applied to mining areas to prevent, drain, or remove water that enters the mining area. The aim of the research is to control runoff water entering mine openings so that the mining process is not disturbed. The method used to calculate the average rainfall and the volume of runoff water entering the well so that the sump is able to accommodate the volume of incoming water is by using the gumbel distribution method, the monobe method, and for calculating runoff discharge using the rational method. Based on the actual geometry of the sump, length 20m, width 12m, depth 4m, slope 40m, rainfall 131mm/day, catchment area 18ha, rainfall intensity 44.82mm/hour, the volume of water that can be accommodated is 960m3, so it cannot accommodate the volume of water that is entered into the sump 7993m3 so that based on the results of research on making a sump design the highest rainfall value was obtained 131mm/day, catchment area was 18ha rainfall intensity was 44.82 mm/hour, from the calculation results for making a sump obtained a sump geometry with a length of 45m, width of 45m , a depth of 4m and a slope of 40o so that the volume of water that can be accommodated is 8100m3.
